I love the concept of this trick and I also have been looking for substitute materials so I can make my own gimmicks. I took the plunge and bought a number of pad with no success. I used a combination of:
Bristol. Smooth surface paper. 100 pounds, 270 g/m2. Canson White mixed media paper 120lb/ 200 g/m2 Avery matte White Business cards 5371 80lb/ 216g/m2 And the pens I experimented with were: A Bic Tuxedo Black Pen (permanent) Shapie A Penmark pen from Inc At best, there was some transfer to paper, but nothing that was readable. Hopefully, this will help anyone out there and save some money. I am not sure if using different laser paper would change anything. If anyone had found a solution, I would be open to ideas. |
