My parents listened to Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass a lot when I was a kid... and naturally, so did I. I still do. Smile

WOW, Bill thanxs for dusting away the cobwebs. My parents had that album and I haven't heard that song in decades.

What's funny is that the tune popped into my head and I couldn't recall the name. However, I did recall that the tune that followed it was "Lemon Tree", and that it was on the Whipped Cream album, so I looked at the playlist and was able to get the name.

Memory's peculiar.

I raced the Rock and Roll Half Marathon in New Orleans this past weekend and the headliner group after the race was the Preservation Hall Jazz Band. Man, they had a great horn player there! And the Sax player was 84 and still moving and playing strong. Lot of fun.

Thanks for the memory, S2000magician! Herb Albert's wife, Lani Hall, sang in one of my favorite groups of that time-period: Brazil '66.

I didn't realize that Lani was Herb's wife. She had (has?) a great voice.

TJB and Brazil '66 had quite a love affair with Lennon & McCartney.
