Do either of these ever come up in the for sale section? I'm really interested in something of this nature, but are they so rare that one should not bother even asking about used? As far as I know, the Factotum Pendulum is no longer made. Any advice/help from the more experienced would be appreciated.

I believe greerj was referring to the pendulum that Subversive circuits made, but they are no longer in business

I am actually interested in both, as they both would accomplish my needs. I had hoped that with Spiritas being so popular, that there may be some used Subversive pendulums for sale.

I have the Spiritas & love it !! Good luck on your search for acquisition of both, the FSPV2 sounds like a nice addition to the Spiritas. Of course the pendulum that comes with the Spiritas you can add more chain to it......

I'm sorry, Merlinsmagic, I wasn't very clear......I want one or the other...whichever one I can afford LOL. Or may have to sell plasma for 3 months or so to buy Spiritas.

Not sure what the FSPV2 would cost if you found one, but I think the Spiritas if you can swing one would be much more versatile & more likely you would find one on the 2nd hand market or purchase new.
As for plasma selling, been there, done that for my Dopps collection, etc......LoL |

I have a Halloween séance, and own a Factotum Pendulum from |Subversive Circuits. Great piece of equipment. I bought it and several other products from Subversive circuits when they existed. Unfortunately it is no longer working (looking to have someone with electronic know how take a look at it). I have been searching online for Factotum (no longer available) Subversive Circuits (no longer in business), Spiratas (no longer available), and other searches.
Is there a PK electronic style pendulum/ Ouija board/ spirit bell, or combination available on the market? If not, is there a site/ group/ page a magician can search for such routines of the past? Advices would be appreciated. I have just acquired a MiKame Jumbo "Mirror A Cle" to add to our show, and when I tried my Factotum ... nothing. Side note..... looking for suggestions for controlled candles. Thanks and all advice is appreciated. |

I was lucky enough to purchase this and I can tell you that it is excellently made "of course from Mikame" I have only performed the trick on facebook or some close friends as I am not a performer and more of a collector. The Pavlov trick, which is more expensive, but might be better quality, I really don't know because I think this one is very good. I bought this trick a couple of years ago and I am still very happy with it. The quality of the wood, of course Mikame, and the trick itself is very beautiful and do able for a simple magician. I love mine.
