Greetings to all...
Does anyone know of a monte with a color changing back kicker? The only one I have been able to identify is Boris Wild's Wild Monte, and apparently this is out of print. I did see Ken Krenzel do something similar on a video, but he had to go back to the deck of switch in a stranger card. Thanks for any suggestions you can provide. |

Wiz Kid Qua-Fiki's new "Chocolate Bar Magic" from The Wizards' Journal #31 has a Chocolate Bar Monte with a color changing back kicker as an optional ending. He uses two milk chocolate Hershey bars and a Mr. Goodbar for the monte, ends with a Reese's Bar surprise and the optional color changing back on the Reese's bar. And yes, you can take his idea and rework it into Tarot cards, or jumbo regular cards, or any fanciful picture cards you wish to design. You'll have to make the cards and gimmicks yourself, but all the templates for printing his cards and color backs are provided in the e-Book.

Off-Color Monte by Peter Marshall is great. It can be found in Harry Lorayne's Best of Friends Vol. 2. Triple Kick Monte by Paul Gordon is a derivative work that is similar. A performance of the latter can be found on YT.

"Mondo Monte" by Matt Carin is a fairly decent packet trick with a three-card monte theme and colour changing backs kicker. Here's a YT performance of it:

Allan Ackerman's "Mixed Up Blues" from Las Vegas Kardma is a nice routine.

Monte nightmare by Bob King. Great and you can hand the cards for examination at the end. Just three cards but a ton of magic. There is a way to preface it with a real three card monte phase where the backs of all cards are seen, then have the money card disappear and reappear before doing monte nightmare, but it can just complicate a perfect, simple routine. Bizzare twist by Paul Harris works well with this to as a convincer that all cards have the same back.
