Anybody know about this effect? E Raymond Carlyle is pretty well respected, but I'd like to know a little more about this...

I thought this p**k method could be done with ANY business card case with a sh***r surface. Please correct me if I am wrong.

This isn't that.

Then 'what' is it. I mean NOT the method, of course. But the ad does not mention the business card case in the routine process, but it is included in the pack.

Then what do you mean?

The price (for now) is $50. obviously there is more to it than a s****** case.

The description is vague, but says the spectator handles the envelope and seems to imply that the mentalist never touches the card.

Not that I need another method for p***** a business card Smile

But I'm curious what this is...

The logical combination of the handling make this effect so clean. You end clean and the reset of the gimmick is fast and without any consumption items. Yes, there is a business card case involved but there's more than just this. And I must point out: its a normal business card case! You can do it without the case but its not comfortable.
The description is correct. You never touch the card nor the envelope.

Could I do it with my existing business card wallet?

Huh, now I'm really intrigued. Is this an old principle? I'm now considering buying it, but I'd like to have a slightly better idea what I'd be getting...

Yeah, I hear you....

I wrote E. Raymond Carlyle an email asking for more info, hopefully he replies.

Sounds like the case is not gimmicked, and that the performer never touches the card, soo...

I'd hate to buy it and get something I already have.

Ray did reply to me. He was still being cryptic, but he described what the spectator sees.

You take a card out of the case and put it on top of the case. You hand them the case and a sharpie. They write, keep the card and hand the case back. You open the case and take out a card and duplicate.

I think that explains what it is. I ordered it, because it sounds like a nice handling, and I'm a sucker for *** devs... I hope it's at least the good stuff.

Docc Hilford published something similar not long ago (silent messenger for 149$), I did not buy it but the descriptions match.
I would be curious to know the differences.

you only need to refill your business cards when you run out.

It is not too late. Ed will have more. He's not Penguin, he has a certain amount, then he will restock.
