I am having trouble with The Truffle Shuffle. Whenever I attempt to spring the cards from my right hand in order to unlace them, they are sprung backwards and on the floor. Now I can do a regular spring using either hand and can spring the left hand packet no problem. It is just the right hand one. Anyone have an advice/tips?
Sincerely,
Brandon James Pearce |

Learning the Truffle Shuffle correctly is easily worth the $11.95 for that video. It's an excellent video.
It's also well described with many photographs in Genii, Oct 2008, pp. 20-21. |

Hi Brandon,
I had the same problem after learning this. It are the fingers of the left hand (the pinky) that stops them from dropping. Also try to spring the cards away from your body a little more, so not straight down but slightly press you thumbs away from you:) Let me know how if it worked out for you. You can always send me a PM.

The Truffle Shuffle video no longer seems to be for sale at Dan and Dave. The above URL leads to a "page not found," and I can't seem to find it with the search feature. Does anybody know if the video is still for sale anywhere?

Dan and Dave has somewhat morphed into Art of Magic, not sure if you'll find it there.

Thanks! Alas, I've now searched there as well, and it doesn't seem to be there, either.

Check out The Heinous Collection by Karl Hein. He teaches a few in the hands false shuffles including the Truffle Shuffle, if I recall correctly. Great angles and explanations, very well taught.

The Truffle Shuffle and the Heinstien Shuffle are different, but look similar in appearance. You might drop a line to Art of Magic and ask.

Looking at the Heinous collection, it looks like he teaches both the Heinstein and the Truffle, so that seems like a good way to go.
Thanks, Yowie and Tom! |

FYI. I recently purchased the download of the truffle shuffle from art of play. They had to send it via private link. They mentioned that since Derek is performing in NY he didn’t want it advertised.
Karl Hein has a truffle shuffle 2.0. I use it all the time and love it. |

Any idea on where to buy that truffle tutorial? I contacted art of play but they don't offer it anymore...
Thanks! Florian |

You can learn the modified version of it by Karl Hein, Truffle Shuffle 2.0
in the Heinous collection volume 1. I find it more deceptive than the original version (but a little more difficult to master) since you handle the final bridge towards the ground, like you would do for a regular in the hands riffle shuffle. Here is a demo: https://youtu.be/ExdAtkFWq3E?t=46 |

Does anyone know how to access the download from Karl? I purchased it this morning from his web page but I have not received any link or instructions on downloading it.
