Am I the only one that loses the workability and ease of palming coins after cleaning them? Recently I took some old English half crowns and cleaned them with jewelery cleaning cloth. It made them shinny but also made them much slicker and harder to Palm. So I did some research on aging them to give them that aging look again thinking that would improve their handling. While making the coins exactly the same in appearance it didn't help in their handling. . So after thinking about how to get the edges better For handling I'm planning to take to micro oxidation sand blasting just the edges of the coin to give them their slight ruffness to give them a excellent edge for gripping. Has anyone tried this or is there other solutions to restore the ease of palming a cleaned coin again? Octopalm? Other solutions?

Update: micro etched with aluminum oxide just the 1 mm edge around coins and worked like a charm. Made the coins better than older coins to handle and Palm.
