Hi...I am Robert Kane and my good buddy Tom Cutts turned me on to The Magic Cafe. It looks like a lot of fun, and a great way to make new friends and also a superb way to learn more about the craft of magic.

Now a little about moi...

I have been performing magic since 1995 and have been collecting magic apparatus since the late 80's.

I enjoy performing close up and have performed walk around magic at restaurants, parties and other assorted events since the 90's. In fact, Tom and I have performed together on several occasions. Practicing and performing sleight of hand became a real obsession in the later 90's. Big influences on me have been Roger Klause, Jon Racherbaumer, Roberto Giobbi, Gerry Griffen and James Lewis.

I am also a big fan of reading about the history of magic. Indeed this evening I will be enjoying Sidney Clarke's Annals of Conjuring. I dig this stuff baby!

Joe Marotta: In answer to your question, I don't have any escape items in my collection. Mainly Okito-Williams pieces, a large assortment of Cups (a la Cups & Balls) and other fun collectable close up items.
