Just got the Alakazam email blast and I couldn't find anything on what appears to be a new release.
I like the simplicity of the way this looks - basically the normal 5 Rhine cards along with the addition of a triangle card. However, not sure why they went with a TRIANGLE symbol as the infinity 8 symbol is more typical for a "6th" ESP type card? But still - looks straight forward based on the video demo and something I might be able to use for strolling. This feels like some kind of F based on Equiv. Wondering if this is at all repeatable with different outcomes? For the reasonable price - wow this looks nice. Steve Cook has created a super slick ESP prediction. This awesome effect will fit neatly in your wallet and will fry any spectator! Imagine placing a single envelope onto the table along with six coloured ESP cards. Your spectator is asked to roll an imaginary die, they can roll it as many times as they like, change the number as many times as they like and yet the ESP symbol related to the number will match your prediction in the envelope 100% Symbol feels ultra-fair and is easy to do (absolutely no funny moves or sleight of hand required) Everything you need to perfom Symbol is contained in the pack including a full in depth training DVD with additional tips and handling by Peter Nardi https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JhBLB0-lEVg

Hi Brett,
I was with Steve when he showed this to Peter at Blackpool...Peter, who is an ESP nut and very familiar with most of the principles at work with this type of routine, was completely floored by it!! Alakazam have done a great job in producing it and I strongly recommend this and a few more of Steve's effects, as well as his forthcoming DVD, which will be released over the forthcoming months. I'm very tempted by this
Watched the video and wondered will it always be that clean? |

It is always that clean...there are no dodgy looking outcomes

Im not fishing and don't want you to give anything away, but I'm guessing you have to have the symbol test card in view and part of the routine as well?

I don't want to get into it but in defence there was no mention or relevance made to it in the demo, so because there wasn't then do we need it - that's all. Not fishing e.g is that extra card used as an out or by you calling a number is that because the method uses a spelling technique to arrive at the prediction etc that's fishing not the simple question I asked |

Ok keep telling yourself that.

Uhhh yeah because it's correct. Even if the answer is yes or no makes no difference and will still reveal or give nothing away. For example it could just be an additional card included to help explain about ESP, what it is etc incase you want to use it as demonstration - which means it doesn't nessesarly have to be in play if you don't want it to be. Or if the answer is yes then that's fine. The only thing that answer indicates is that it has to be part or have relevance in the routine - that's all.

Ordered and I will review 100% I promise when I get this from Alakazam.
I was in need of a nice and clean ESP routine for strolling and this looks to be ideal. It is interesting that Steve chose a triangle for the 6th possibility. Hopefully Peter will chime in soon Very nice

Mark Masons new version I got thrown in the package of buying something else at Blackpool particularly when performed slightly differently than Mark explains on the DVD .is brilliant . You can't get cleaner and there are no outs , I really like this and was a very nice find seeing as never would have bought it unless in the group deal . You do need to tweak the handling but was so easy to do and see why once you have performed it and watched the tutorial Tarik 😊

I heard Mark Mason has a new version of this, too.
I could be wrong, but I think the triangle was usually the "sixth" symbol. I *think* the wavy lines were considered to be #6 and the triangle to be #3. Craig and Max came up with the Infinity Symbol (or Figure Eight) for Multi Dimensional, if I'm not mistaken. This looks good. I do wonder if the extra test card is one of the multiple outs. I hope not. Robert |

I agree with Prince after watching the demo . This thread if you read the rules is about speculation and I can already see 6 outs and could still describe this as one card in one envelope . This would use the symbol test card and the back of the envelope or both but could meet all the criteria in the description but would never seem as clean to me . To a layman you could weakly argue yes but layman are not the ones buying the effect so I don't think it's unfair to ask questions . If you ever go to a convention or dealer dem every dealer who knows you are a legitimate magician always tells you the method without question if you are considering buying so I never see the problem in that . Maybe not divulge to all and sundry on a public forum but certainly on this particular section of the Café speculation is certainly and should be encouraged at the very least , best Tarik 😊

I've never been a fan of the infinity symbol as the 6th one I've always preferred the triangle.

I once saw a trick performed, apparently from an obscure book about "Magician's Choice" (now referred to as "Equivoke" or the fancier "Equivoque"), that used the typical five ESP cards. I'm pretty sure there was a DF "prediction card" inside the envelope, as well as one odd-backed card of the five. It was presented as a "newer" version of Vernon's Five Card Mental Force, but there was apparently no chance of failure. I don't remember the other outs.
