Thank you Christian for the add-on. I was thinking as well to use a different blindfold. Best.

I didn't again buy it, but I will do soon.
I think that from this thread everybody understood the explanation, and I think that it's great. The only possible problem is that the other spectators will think that there is a stooge. So I think that you can improve the effect with different persons: one choose the number, and the second choose if the card is diamonds, hearts, clubs In my opinion it is one of the best effect in this year |

About the blindfold: I couldn't see a thing when I first tried it. I thought it was just too tight. So I strongly stretched out the straps over a period of a week, and now they work fine.

I nave a question: the blank cards that you can give to the audiences (without problems..) are 12 ( and they are like normal cards but white ) or are 24 thinest card ? Do you think that 24 is better because you can give more cards to the audiences ?

Those normal ones that you let the audience touch are of normal thickness , those gimmicked cards can be touched briefly without much problem , it stays still with casual handling .
And , don't run when you're not being chased , to be frank there's no need to hand anything out , you're performing magic , not a trick .

Card-Shark offers the best customer service one can imagine.
Told him about a problem I had (messed up my m******s) and he immediately helped me out with some replacement cards. Thank you Christan! To use the blindfold on your spectator is a great idea as well. |

But like you, I only need to wear them to read, anything that is not small and close isn't a problem to me. This means to perform Out of Sight Iwould need to put on my glasses for this trick only, which kind of makes the claims about it being a trick for blind people a wee bit tenuous. I've been contemplating in whether I would find an excuse to put my glasses on before performing this trick, wear my glasses for my entire performance and have the audience as a blur, or sell the trick on. Unfortunately I think it's going to be the latter. |

I meant to say though it is a fantastic trick with an amazing deck of cards.... A real winner!
I'm just a little disappointed that instead of purchasing something that is ready to go, I have something that I could make into something else. |

Anyone know if and when Card-Shark may make just the regular decks which match the Double Deckers finish available?

There is a way explained in the video how to let people examin the deck.

Why should you examined if you show the cards? And dvgulik are right: there is a way to do it!
Its a really great effect! But like many effects, its isn't 'waterproof'. It's still a trick. |

Well finally had a chance to test drive this gem. After much practice I felt it was time. It was received very well. The story line was along the same idea Joshua shared and I noticed people took interest to this. When the reveal was made I got really good reactions. When it came time to show all the cards blank all I heard was "Oh my gosh" and "Oh no no way!". This is something people will talk about and most importantly enjoy.

Cards of the Single Decker Deck are used in the Out of Sight Deck as well, they are the perfect convincer cards that can be handled by a spectator to make him believe that the remaining deck consisting of ultra thin Double Decker cards is just a regular deck. After many performances of the Out of Sight Deck you might consider refreshing your deck by replacing the thick cards with cards from our Single Decker Deck. This will bring back a perfect look and feel. |

I have just received this amazing deck. I have known the principle and the setup, because it uses the same principal as Card Shark version of B****W***D***. I bought it for two reasons: 1) I love Joshua's version of I Dream of Mindreading, and Out of Sight adds a big plus by showing the printed card selected; 2) I was curious to know how to avoid spectator choosing a court card. After watching the instruction DVD, I was disappointed as for the second point: The Joshua's method does not function for Japanese audience (I myself a Japanese). The court cards are not Jacks, Queens, and Kings, but above all, 11, 12, 13 for them. In some other tricks, the magician happens to explain that Jack means 11, and so on, because the court cards are intuitively and naturally 11, 12, 13 before meaning Jack, Queen and King in Japanese culture. So if you tell them to choose a number, they can easily think of 11, 12 or 13. I have to find another method to orient spectator's choice. Thanks for your help.
