Any magic or Café Members around the Portland area? I'll be there for about a week next month.

There are at least 12 cities and towns with the name Portland in the states.

That's true!

But it's interesting: if you just say "Portland", I think Oregon, not Maine or one of the other dozen places. I'm sure there's a Dallas that's not in Texas, and a Chicago that's not in Illinois, and so on. But is there a Dallas or Chicago in Maine? Inquiring minds want to know!

I agree that "Portland" instantly brings to mind Oregon. But is there another French Lick besides the one in Indiana?

I do not know if Maine has A Dallas or Chicago. But you can find a few other nice places.

Sorry I can't help. Daryl. I live just 2 hours away, but have never felt the need to visit Portland, Oregon.

But surely one or two of our contributors must know something about magic over there?

A guy by the name of Mark Benthimer has a small magic shop inside of Mall 205. He also has a place called the All American Magic Theatre somewhere in Portland as well.
I also heard at one there was a magic shop in Vancouver Washington, not far from Portland.

There's some great vintage/antique shops...might find something in one of them. They also have Powell's bookstore.

Hi Daryl,

I'm in the Portland area. There is a great brick and mortar shop in Vancouver, WA. (Dave's Killer Magic) It is just north of Portland. They host shows and lectures just about every Saturday. What days in May will you be in town?
