Ken Perks, performer, designer, artist and mentor passed yesterday at 9-30am
Ken performed inthe 50s alongside Finn JOn with his manipulation act, often
'borrowing ' strands of his sisters hair to create the perfect thread effect.
Ken was a brilliant artist and did most of the graphics for the late Ken Brooke's
marketed effects, he also worked closely with the late Roy Johnson, Steve Tucker
Geoffrey Durham , Mel Harvey ,Phil Jay to name but a few . His knowledge of magic
was unsurpassed and would often be called upon to advise major names, though more
often than not , popping round his house, youd meetd great names who were just
there for a chat.
Ken was a true gentleman and seemed to live by a phrase, 'If it helps you out,ill do it "
i am proud to have known him for many years and privilege d to be able to say he was
my friend

Another Magic Star has passed. I got to know Ken through Ken Brooke in the 70's.
Always a gentleman, and always willing to help anyone with a question of problem.
He will be missed by many in the field.

The clarity and quality of his artwork was a major factor, in making many of Ken Brooke's written sheets the best instruction in magic that it has ever been my pleasure to study.
