This is the newbee table so I thought this would be a good place for this topic.
how do you find out the name of a trick and how many different names can a trick have. for example: I have a hot rod and a fan-ta-stic. one is metal one is plastic, if I had one made of wood what would it be called?

A 'Hot-wood' or a 'Fant-a-stake' would be my guess.

How do you find the name of a trick?
On the instructions. How many versions of a trick can there be? Depends how many people rip it off. How long is a piece of string? Paul. |

I have just found a site that looks very useful - I haven't had time to explore it thoroughly but it is an encyclopedia of magic - seems to have most tricks and props listed alphabetically, with a brief explanation of what it does/how it works: you can find it at:

Well there are many names for many tricks and all a hotrod is, is a fan-ta-stick but bigger. And like paul said, it depends on how many people rip the trick off.
Hope my words where of help! Lance R. Wilson
