Hi Folks.
I was without an Internet connection, most of the winter.
Being back out, in the cities of civilizations(!),
I'm catching up on some reading,...
{"Merry Christmas", to you, as well, Imag!}
...rainy days are a blessing!

My eyes popped from my prosencephalon,..!
(i ate breakfast with a doctor, this morning.)
In Reel Magic Magazine,
current issue,,,
Philippe Petit!

Philippe Petit.

I bungled my way thru the entire play-list,..
spilt coffee on my wife's new pants,
....wow!
What a great interview!!
zuuup!
,it was over!!
WHAT,.??,
,..so short,,,?
then I checked,..
it was over a half hour!!!!
AND,
it was ONLY the first segment!!
,...more to come(!!).
It pulls you right in....
seemed like five minutes!!!

I think John Lovet,.
[probably botched that name,,."sorry John."]
only asked,..
maybe four questions!
Philippe was just bubbling!
ahhhh,..it's great.
You can really tell,
he loves his life.
ahhhh,...very inspiring.

He talks, as well, about many many many aspects of playing the Streets.
I really enjoy it.,..
sö much,
...that I have to pass it on.

Writeall, I think I'm going to change your name to "Catchall"(!).
man,..Zoobini slipped one by on me there(!).,..
and THAT,
from a Mime.
I'm speachless!

One thing that comes back to me, from this interview;
is John Lovet,..["sorry John"],
asking:
"When is the last time you played the Streets?"
Philippe Petit answers, "That's a cruel question. That's a cruel question."
He had to breathe in,
as he spoke.
I really felt for him.

I'm not sure if it's always been,
or if it is an attitute of the times:
Only NOW counts.

I really felt for Philippe Petit.
One of the greatest Street Performers,
having his pants dropped.
(I'm sure it wasn't intentional,..still.)

How fast,
our day-to-day struggles and victories become,...
air in a milk carton somewhere.
Sometimes, sitting in Cafés,
I 'inspect' 'day-to-dayers',...
older ones;
and wonder what their 'highlghts' were,..
I'm sure,
everyone has had some.
Moments that gave their Lives meaning.

“Time passed in brewing tea, the odd remark, cigarettes, then dawn came up. The widening light caught the plumage of quails and partridges...and quickly I dropped this wonderful moment to the bottom of my memory, like a sheet-anchor that one day I could draw up again. You stretch, pace to and fro feeling weightless, and the word 'happiness' seems too thin and limited to describe what has happened. In the end, the bedrock of experience is not made up of the family, or work, of what others say or think of you, but of moments like this when you are exalted by a transcendent power that is more serene than love. Life dispenses them parsimoniously; our feeble hearts could not stand more.”
― Nicolas Bouvier

Knowing others hold these,
I see my audiences differently.
Respect them a bit more.

This is the first I heard of him being a magician.
He's a man of many talents and quite passionate.
He's got a new fan.

Stanley:
if your reference is to my post, I don't get where the "magician" comment comes from. ??
But I certainly do find Gallagher's posts enjoyable. If that makes me a fan, then I'm guilty!

Nala

Nala,
I was referring to the OP, where he referred to the video interview in Reel Magic magazine.
In that interview he (PP) demonstrated a few magic tricks and explained the psychology of magic.
He's a man of many talents.
