Hi,
To be fair. Conker Coins has been on the market a very long time and many companies have released them Including Peter Crush, Meir Yedid, Mark Mason and of course ourselves. We have been stocking Conker Coins for well over 15 years but as you may be aware we often give older tricks a new video (which is what we have done with his great effect (just because its old, does not mean it's not good & we like showcasing some of the awesome magic of years gone by) As for the stock, we had no idea these would sell so fast. We sold all our stock in less than 24 hours. More came in yesterday and they have already been sent out. We should be getting more next week. Each Conker Coin set is hand engineered, so the quality is amazing. Best Regards Peter |

Mine finally arrived from Alakazam.
I must say that the gimmick is very well made One thing though is if you are thinking of purchasing this item from Alakazam I would contact them first BEFORE buying to confirm if they are in stock and available for despatch as they do NOT state on their website if the item is "currently out of stock" and only notify you via email AFTER you have paid for the item. Like I say the gimmick is very well made and I am happy with my purchase now it has arrived |

Their coins had holes in them, and they would string a cord through them (and tie around the waist?) to keep them safe. (I've used this for a story line for The Charming Chinese Challenge) Given this fact, and that putting a hole in American does look *very* odd (I'm not talking about the patter, but a very "prop'ish" look), why doesn't someone produce this effect with Chinese coins? (even just plain disks (such as "miracle disks" for $3!, or Disk Escape by Kreis magic) would be more natural). John

This is one of these great tricks that take up virtually no space in my close-up case. I've had it in there for several years, and can call upon it any time it is needed. Works great for both children and adults. The props supplied by Alakazam are good and have held up well during many performances. This is often my go to effect when I've done my regular bits and bobs, and someone asks for 'just one more trick'.

The reason Chinese coins have holes in them is so that you can use them for Peking. Get it?

I think this effect would be more logical & make sense to a laymen if the coins were chinese. Do they make this in chinese coins ? If so I want a set badly !

I do not understand,in the video dave says free two ,one but he produces only one of the two freed and says he has a tutu P Left. How do you explain starting with 3 coins on a rope free Two and only have one tutu P left on the rope? I guess he did free two but only produced one 10 P.where is the second one he freed? And is that second one also a tutu P?
Lastly why does the UK have coins with short ballet skirts on them? Does it make them easier to palm? How do you launder them? Is this a Brexit thing? |
