I just found a large Queen of Diamonds silk stamped "LT" (with a picture of a rabbit coming out of a hat) in the lower right corner.
What brand is that? |

Louis Tannen, he owned the Tannen's magic shop in New York.
The store has since been under a few owners. www.tannens.com |

Old line: "The only "stupid" question is the one you didn't ask!
Lou (the 'red haired magic dealer") put out some excellent silk products in the '40s, after the war, when silk was again available. I remember buying some 24" solid colors, and, they really lasted! He also had some very fine "pictorials". I still have a 36" BUTTERFLY! He had a 'trademark" name for the hems, but, I can't remember what it was.

"Ultrasilks - with the better hem" - I remember the old ads for them in the Tannen's catalogs.

Ultrasilks-with the better hem is correct. I've been doing magic for over 50 years and still use a few of those in my routines. They last forever. To bad Lou isn't still around
