Hi all,

A while ago I posted pictures of a portable roll on table I had made which I move around on a cheap trolley from the hardware store.

Someone asked me via PM the other day if I have plans for how to make this. I don't. I made it up as I went.
However since then I have changed my act/character a bit and the case/table no longer suited.
I've come up with a new roll on table. It still works on the principle of using a trolley to move it.
This won't suit everyone and has it's disadvantages for sure but it's working for me and I should think anyone could make one without too much trouble. No building experience required.

It's made using three milk crates, just like these.

I took two and joined them together at the open end with cable ties. The third sits on top so it can be removed for putting the whole thing in the car etc. When wheeling it around I use a bungee cord to hold it on. The whole thing is held to the trolley with two bungee cords.
I did add a shelf that folds down but that's optional. Inside I glued cardboard to stop things falling out. I then cut holes on the sides so I could access my props inside.

I think the pictures explain it all. It's fairly simple, light and very easy to make. Mine looks a bit rough but I'm happy with that due to my character's persona (if you've seen Trailer Park Boys think of Bubbles and Ricky mixed together but with a more positive outlook on life). It would be quite easy to get a material cover sewn up or cover it in light plywood or whatever.

Anyway I promised I'd post photos of it to the budding table builder. I hope it helps and/or gives some ideas.

Thanks, Dale. Love the tables.

You can fool some of the people all of the time, and that's usually good enough to make a decent living.
