I just found out that Gene Anderson has completed his book... and, since I'm no fool, I've already ordered my copy.

DITTO!!!

I caught his lecture in Aus and it was fantastic. Also saw both of of his public show appearances and both times the audiences (me included) were amazed and absolutely held spellbound. His act was also SO funny! I can't wait for the book to arrive at my door!

There is also a collectors publication.

http://geneanderson.com/thebook_deluxe.html

Gene's material is great, it is for the stand-up performer, not close-up magic.

Wish he would have shown the Content page so we could check out the title chapters, being he mentioned it in the ad copy.

This is a must have for stand-up magicians.

Just buy it!

The site does list the chapter titles via a hyper-link

http://www.geneanderson.com/images/thebook_chapters.jpg

Or:
1. Star of the show
2. Picto Transpo
3. Anderson Die Box
4. Vanishing Match
5. Nemo Jumbo Rising Cards
6. Tables
7. Card in Bottle
8. The Pajama Cord Trick
9. Newspaper Act
10. Star of David
11. Peace Symbol
12. Squircle
13. Wastebasket
14. Chapeaugraphy
15. Ship’s Wheel & Dolls
16. Corn Stalk
17. Hello Trick
18. Torn Message
19. The Part-Time Pro
20. Marko
21. Know Dr. Seuss
22. String Thing
23. Precocious Paper Chain
24. Gene’s Egg Bag Routine
25. The Hindu Thread Trick
26. Si Stebbins Card Routine
27. The Tear Through Time
28. Torn and Restored Newspaper.

Almost everything in it has been published (or on video) before. I will be interested in seeing what updates to the handling he has for each. At any rate it is the easiest way to get all or most of Gene's work in one place.

Hmmm. Collector's edition or regular edition.

I'll have to think about it. I'm getting a lot of books this year.

I am interested in topological effects. Particularly new uses for the Mobius strip.

Apparently this book has a new idea for the Mobius strip called Precocious Paper Chains.

Can anybody tell me a bit more about it?

Cheers!

The Precocious Paper Chain is Gene's presentation for a Tadashi Tokieda discovery (credited in the book) about what happens when you glue two Mobius strips together (kind of like a paper chain, only outside of one another instead of linked) then cut them in "half" the traditional way. I won't tell you exactly what happens, because I don't want to spoil the surprise for you, but it's a pretty neat result. I highly recommend you get Gene's book. There's so much good stuff in it.

Bought mine at MagicLive. Gene was there when I bought it. Got it signed and a photo with him. Gene is a great guy to talk with. Love the book!

Better late than never: I've gotten around to reviewing Gene's book on Erudite Magic while it's still in print! What a treasure trove from a true gentleman and entertainer extraordinaire.
