When I was checking out the link, I also went to the Mackie website to compare the Mackie FreePlay to the Mackie SRM150 (my current system).
I discovered there's currently a $50 mail in rebate on the FreePlay (the system Arthur linked to). For purchases between May 1, 2016 and June 30, 2016. http://mackie.com/live/freeplay-and-reach-rebate There are some conditions... you can read them for yourself at the link. - Donald

That seems to be a nice system. But what I do not like is replacing that many "D" batteries after 10 hours of use.
I prefer to use only a system with a built in battery that is rechargeable. And the price for batteries is really expensive now. Just think how many batteries you would use in a year. 8, 16 32 sets of "8" batteries at a cost of approximately $ 10.00 for a set of eight. In a years time you would spend anywhere from $ 80.00-$ 320.00 just on batteries. And that is just crazy. So why would anyone purchase this especially if you do a lot of shows where there is no power. Rodney

There is a rechargeable lithium ion battery you can buy for it. Initially, it looks like it might be an external battery, but if you read closely it says that it can be put in the battery compartment. And it can be charged in place, simply using the PA system's power cable.

It's nice how the optional lithium ion battery is easily installed. I have a different brand's pa system where the battery is already installed, but not easily replaceable when the battery wears ouT.

I have had this unit for two years. Works well and you can control audio options via your iPhone (app). The battery lasts all day (8 hr trade show). I would recommend it for an audience of 150 or less.
