I am looking for ideas/recommendations to do a color change for two cards (such as two Aces to two Kings) by just filming. Whether the changes is practical in real life is not a concern for me, it just needs to be visual/ an eye candy. I just have the following four conditions:
1. Two cards can either be changed separately or simultaneously (An example of changing two cards simultaneously is like the Radical Change that Richard Sanders did in his DVD Super Cards.) For changing two cards separately, it doesn't matter whether it is done by two different methods or same method. 2. These two cards should "appear" to be two single card on a mat, i.e. neither on top of a deck nor on a stack of cards. Aside from these two cards, no other cards should be used to assist the color changes. 3. The camera is positioned on top of the mat, so the angle is only sensitive on top. 4. The changes can be done by either sleight of hand or gimmicked card (like F**p card, DF) Few examples that come to my mind are Eidetic Change, Side Steal color change, Flick Change, Twirl Change and as mentioned, F**p Card. I am open to more suggestions~ Here is how the set-up look like: |

Assuming the Kings are under the Aces, you could put each Ace into a gambler's palm and lap them. Or if you really don't have integrity, some tacky substance on your hands instead of palming.

One of the cleanest color changes for camera I've seen uses a black close-up pad (which it looks like you're using) and black art. Normal kings behind the aces. Back of the aces are blacked out. Turn the cards face down, wait a second, then turn the kings over to reveal the change. If you try this you'll be shocked how good it looks. Good luck.
