They should be the same. Can't remember exactly what Tony told me, but it has been translated into something like 30 languages and the content stays constant.

I hope Joe is right, but translations can vary enormously in their accuracy, readability, and in their capacity to trigger essentially the same meanings in the minds of the new readers.
Several years ago, doing a lectureship in South Korea, I was amazed that church leaders did not know, had not learned from, the writings of C S Lewis. Then one bi-lingual scholar filled me in: "Terrible translation." Corinda may, of course, hit it lucky in 30 translations! George |

I think Tony may have written to me via mail vs. emailed me about the quantity of international editions. I don't have his letters handy at the moment. But in one of his emails, he stated there were 3 US versions and 4 UK versions. I think the last foreign language version was Italian and they were going publish it in two volumes. No idea why they would have wanted to split it. I mean it is 13 steps which doesn't divide by two easily
The first version was by Harry Clarke in the UK. He lamented that he didn't have lots of first editions that he could sell off every now and then for big bucks (or pounds I guess would be more accurate)

I have the Supreme edition. It's dated 1984, apparently when they bought the copyright. It includes all 13 steps, without the fancy covers. There's no contents page listing the steps and their start pages, but there's a complete index at the back. The last page of Step 13 includes Errata for the whole series.

While the amount of water has remained static, the amount of Tequila and Triple Sec available for making Margaritas has expanded enormously. So you see, we have made progress after all. ~Anonymous
