I've recently be playing with steam 2.0 and printed some custom cards off with a scrabble rack printed on them. I ask the spectators to think of a good 7 letter word and try to beat my word. To cut a long story short I predict the word and the point value and beat them by one!
I have become intreagued with word magic, moreover scrabble. Are the any effects out there that incorporate words with mentalism . |

If you take a look at classic mentalism effects and methods, there is a lot of stuff that could be framed with a "scrabble" premise.
Book / dictionary tests for example mostly deal with words. Just experiment |

I too have a great fondness for letters and using them as a springboard for possibly thought of words. For this, I thoroughly recommend Lee Earl's AlphaTized Alphabet Deck.

I can't think of many effects in mentalism that DON'T involve words. Words are simply manifestations of thoughts.

You could have them write it down on a piece of paper or have a real game of scrabble and figure out how to cheat. I'll bet you'd be good at it! Other than that try to stick to simple procedures.. Simplicity is what makes for good mentalism in my humble opinion!
