What is the difference between the Jack Hughes "Needle Thru' Body" and "Needle Through Body by Owen Magic Supreme illusion? Which is better?

I tried to order this many times from Owen Magic and they always said they did not have any available. I see Hocus-Pocus Magic has only one available, must be Owen's one they kept to make additional ones in the future.
I can only say what the old time magicians and magic dealers said about it, the needle was not very convincing looking. Myself, never have seen one, only the drawing in the catalog. |

I wish I could find a video clip of this illusion being performed. Its difficult to take a dive on something that looks good on paper only. $600 is a car note. lol
I think I might just buy the Jack Hughes book instead. More bang for the buck. Thank you Bill. |

I understand completely. I don't think they sold any in the last 50 years, though.
You can get the Jack Hughes book in PDF formate from Lybrary.com, that will save you some money, but it is hard to find the spring steel the needle is made of. If you have nay knowledge of the Sword Thru Neck illusion, then you know how it works. Also the metal work is not easy. If you did not know, Abbott's sells a Sword Thru Body version as well, it may be the fashioned after the Jack Hughes model. http://www.abbottmagic.com/Abbotts-Sword......oryId=-1 The Needle and Sword can only be done on yourself or your assistant. It cannot be done with audience members or spectators. |
