My piano teacher had a heart attack when I was young. My mother swears it was because I never practiced, and he got too stressed out.

Guitar, bass, piano, harmonica, and drums. My band (Last Band Standing, if you are ever in Erie) plays out two to three times per month, and it is not unusual for me to entertain some folks with sleight of hand between sets (though in full disclosure, it is usually cards and not coins).
Good to see so many musicians.... Dr. Barnowsky, your joke made me laugh out loud. |

Many years ago, Dai Vernon told me that musicians make good magicians. They understand practice and they enjoy practicing. I have performed music all my life: jazz, folk, bluegrass...for over 70 years.

Teach guitar, full time Disney old school-paper artist, amateur coin magician and I can do fingertip pushups at 59! Wee.
These skills definitely develop hand muscles that you never knew existed.

Wow, while I did think there would be a decent number of musicians, the quantity AND quality is impressive ! Both music and coin magic are built on similar foundations - dexterity, tenacity, and the nads to do it in front of others.
