"Brainwashed" will air on MTV this weekend. Times are subject to change. All times are eastern.
Sat. 3pm Sun. 1am, 9am Mon. 12am After his unfortunate performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, editing should be able to make him look good. |

I just watched this as well. I was unfortunate and did not catch the Kimmel live show. By the sounds of it, Keith just caught a bad night. We all have that. From the other post I read on this subject, sounds like Kimmel could have been a little more supportive. As for the MTV show, I enjoyed it. There were many interesting demonstrations I have never seen before. Keith seemed to be a good performer for large crowds and gets his spectators involved in a lot of what he does. I'm going to try and catch the airing again.

I liked it. He had a very natural interaction with the specs. Some of it wasn't that impressive, like when he was pushing the guys into the pool. But I thought his bit with the bottles going through peoples' stomaches was killer! I did find myself wondering how he was doing those touching things. Very weird! I didn't see the Kimmel show, but from what I hear it was pretty horrible.

I liked it but really only for the touching stuff and the other (hypnosis?) type stuff. The magic was not great but not bad for a party magician. I liked his character...and come on....his accent too. I enjoyed a NEW special that wasn't David Blaine/Copperfield.

I also caught part of this show on MTV. Can't say it was the most impressive magic I have ever seen, yet still enjoyable. He fit the beach scene well. I did miss him on Kimmel though. What happened that was not so good?
******* Never mind...I found the post that talked about the Kimmel show....ouch!

I saw this Irish magician a few weeks ago on the Jimmy Kimmel late night talk show. He bombed big time. He did a coin bend in Jimmy Kimmel's hand. Then Kimmel (the host) mentioned that "not only did the quarter bend in my hand, the back changed from a state back to an eagle backed quarter." Geesh....I could go on.... I guess it was just an off night for him. How about the brain washing he did where guests and the host could not lift a "girl" from the audience? Regis Philbin was a guest on this night and totally exposed the effect because he could tell the girl was doing something she shouldn't have been. I will leave it at that. What a bomb.... didn't even bother to watch the MTV special.

Yes Eddie,
We all already know this because I posted it the day after the Kimmel show, and if you didn't watch the special, you missed out. It was pretty good. Nathan Pain

I guess next time he will carefully choose his set of effects...

I think that editing was a little nicer to him on the special and it helps his type of tricks a little more, some are more hit miss than stuff we are used to I bet...so the special was bound to be better anyway.

Some say his name isn't to catchy and well effect his magic career, I started to think what BS but then started to wonder. Keith Barry. I haven't had a chance to watch his special yet.

I'm from Ireland and Barry has a show on the national tv station here, Every thing he does is complete copy of Derren Brown and David Blane. It just annoyed me to see some one use word for word their show pieces. If any one knows of pure effect or the derren brown lecture and has seen barry on irish tv they will see what I mean, mabe he only does this to th Irish Audience but Considering we have access to most of the worlds magic show's via satalite or the English stations I don't know what he was thinking. He only a name mainly because the irish station doesn't know what a magician is and literally said, well any one will do, Englands channel 4 spent 2 years searching for some one good like Derren. sorry I don't mean to moan, I just don't like direct copy cats that make it obvious mon many levels.
