Hey, I CAN"T STAND Yu Gi Oh (for those who don't know it's a newish cartoon series, similar to Pokemon but with "card monsters" or something). Has anyone seen the commercial for the trading card game? They have someone doing flourishes but with the Yu Gi Oh cards. (LePaul spread, one handed fan, card spin on one finger). Is anyone else highly offended by this?? I mean, they show it for like two seconds, and I don't think that real card flourishes belong in a commercial for stupid products. (But I guess it's better than computer animation. Don't EVEN get me started on that Dana Carvey pringles commercial. I just wanted to throw a card into someone's forehead for making that one.)

They also had dice stacking in the Yugio dice monster DVD. Read it a while ago on handlordz.

This does remind me that I have been on the lookout for some Cowboy Bebop playing cards... but that is another story.

Why must a cartoon show ruin this beautiful art of card manipulation...

It doesn't bother me...I think it is kind of neat.
I used to play Magic The Gathering all the time and I wish I knew the flourishes I know now. Plus the Yu Gi Oh cards offer something different in the world of flourishes instead of the boring red and blue backs.

One guy had like 20 of the same card. This makes some effects pretty lame, since there's an obvious exlplanation of (there's duplicates) but that's not the point anyway. They're AWFUL for flourishes. |

Well, I saw the Yu-Gi-Oh commercial and it wasn't as bad as I was expecting. I thought they were going to show some gaming geek pulling of a cobra cut with his stack of trading cards! Hmmm... now that I thnk about it, a fire elemental would have been nice... BURN YU-GI-OH BURN!!!
