I’ve always been a big fan of Peter Pellikaans magic.
All his effects have some really fooling elements. Even though you think (as a magician) you are following his every move, he fries you with the knockout kicker! I met Peter at this year’s Blackpool convention and he blow my mind with so many visual effects. I am really pleased he came to Alakazam Magic to release his lastest series of effects. The first of which is Transcendence, a super visual change of four cards. This looks crazy and (just think of the applications, turning four Jokers in to four previously selected cards or Using Transcendence for the final packet in a McDonolds Aces routine). The method is slick and easy to do. Unlike many of Peter’s other releases this is not a download, Transcendence comes complete with DVD and gimmicks. If you like ultra-visual card magic then check this beauty out and remember we offer FREE worldwide shipping on this product. http://www.alakazam.co.uk/product-Transc......aan.html Regards Peter |

Any reviews on this yet? I have watched the Alakazam video's but has anyone got a personal opinion/review on this?
The effect looks great! Could this be done in a walkaround environment? I mean without a table to hand? Thanks, Paul.

Although I am sure this procedure of turning the cards and countung can be worked into the routine very easily and it is certainly a quick and amazing transformation of 4 cards.I may pick this up though since both Peter's produce great effects. Love NFW and Ace but (and I'm not going to tip their method) please remember you are showing all fronts and backs before and after the effect on Transcendence.
I hope this helps Peter |

I just heard about this effect from the MJM newsletter, so I came here to read more about it. I think it looks pretty good, even if the cards cannot be examined.

Is a presentational idea included to cover the anomaly after the weird face up / face down count? I.e. why suddenly cards that should be face up are now face down? Or is that also part of the effect?
The first time I watched the demo I didn't notice the cards had changed! I think I was too distracted by the FU / FD count thing. Or perhaps I was just too tired! |

The effect looks very good.
I have two questions. Can I put some of the cards on a spectator's hands, as in Ace by Richard Sanders ? Is it a gimmick we can make ourselves ? I prefer not to have to buy refills. |

1. I suppose you can, but very briefly. Be prepared to take the cards away immediately after the changes occur.
2. Yes. You can prepare any cards you want to use. It is better, however, you use thin playing cards. I just received it. With regards to the DVD, the initial explanation on the specific counting and turning of the cards is very confusing and brief. Mr. Nardi realized that and there is a much more detailed explanation of each and every move in a separate section of the DVD. You will have to practice this a lot until you become very comfortable with the counting procedure. Once you do, it will look quite smooth and convincing. If you do not use this routine regularly, you will probably have to re-visit the DVD to refresh yourself the sequence again. It does use regular playing cards. Actually, it uses thin playing cards but you can use any cards you like. In fact, you can set up your own cards so that they reveal whatever four cards you want. You do have to prepare the cards with a certain something which is provided. I do not know how long the the preparation will last before needing to be re-applied. The amount of that item should last a very long time and can easily be replaced. It should take about one minute to prepare the cards. If you want to show the back of the cards before the transformation than it is a very good alternative and addition to to ACE and NFW. Michael
