Since apparently I am not going to receive the SL I ordered from the UK, my thoughts have turned to possible constructing one myself...I am wondering where I might get the plans/wiring diagram for such a thing. I have not been able to locate such in any of my books, and my google-fu has failed me.
As an alternative, where else could I get one? All of the ones I have found in my search seem to be out of production. Wolfgang

Pete makes the best lamps, many design options and at a fair price as well.

Jon Thompson has 3 books on electronics for magicians on Lulu. I think one is building a spirit lamb but not absolutely sure.

Hey Wolfgang.
That is a bummer. I ordered a spirit lamp from a certain uk company as my first bizarre prop. It arrived (but there was some drama). I quickly outgrew it and moved on to Etherica from outlaw effects. (Which I think is probably the coolest spirit lamp out there..) Regardless. I haven't used my original spirit lamp in years. Pay for shipping and I'll be happy to give it to you. I have a suspicion it is probably what you ordered from the UK> PM me your details and we can work it out. Very best, Horus. |

If you do decide to buy one...
This is beautiful, I've seen it up close and the craftsmanship is excellent as are the materials used. http://www.moorenimagic.com/the_illumini_spirit_light |

Etherica is stunning. If you can find someone willing to part with his, I recommend it. Not sure how long the waiting time is for a new one...but it won't be in time for Halloween.
Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain.
