There are powders that add color to fire. Does anyone know where to get them?

Most any basic book on "Chemical Magic" will have formulas for colored fire. The key is the additional of metallic salts to add color.

With current concerns about potentially explosive mixtures, you may find it difficult to obtain some of the chemicals required for the basic mixture.

Profile of Chezaday they have a mixture used with smoke less shotgun powder to produce colored fire columns. Cool stuff but dangerous... I think its called colored flame additive.

Um, if you're in a theater, you can use lighting to affect the color. I had a friend who had a whole fire section of his show, and the whole time the fire was GREEN. I asked him later about it saying (so how'd ya get the fire to turn green?) and he said he didn't mean it to be that way and it must have been the lights. (I know he was telling the truth because the next time I saw his show at a different theater the fire was normal again).
