Does anyone have any tips on how to use this. I have been at it for hours. Seemed a little tight
and I broke it twice. Repaired but I still can't get past the handling. Is the gimmick more difficult than expected or am I just driving myself crazy. Also, any great (beginner) routines to link this too. Any help would save me my sanity. |

Hey!
I told Tobi that you'd experienced some difficulties. He said he's got problems with his account here and asked me to give you his facebook-adress. Which I just send you via pm. Tobi is really a nice guy. And I am sure he'll be able to help you. Take care, Axel |

The gimmick does have to be broken in. It was a bit difficult for me to get it down as well. At first, I either couldn't activate the gimmick or I was too hard on it. After playing with it a bit, I started to find it easier and easier to do. Now it makes the perfect sound. I haven't broken my gimmick yet. As long as your not too rough with it, it shouldn't break as it is fairly strong.
If you broke the gimmick, and need to set it back up, without saying too much, be careful how you do it. You can potentially make it more difficult on yourself. If you own the gimmick and know how it operates, you should know what I mean. Also, I have found if your hands are sweaty, it can be a bit difficult to grip the gimmick properly. That may be something you want to keep in mind. Other than that, you just need to practice with it. Once you start getting it, you'll start to build some muscle memory and eventually you should be able to do it every time (given that your gimmick is broken in). If your looking for beginner routines, watch the video! There's a lot of ideas that Tobias shares, and they are all pretty much beginner to intermediate range. The coin to pocket is probably easiest to do imo. |

I just purchased this and am still learning it and think Tobias is a great teacher and fun guy to watch, but what is it with that crappy background used in the video shoot, especially that strange round gray thing in the background? Very distracting, having studied and worked in photography and video, I can say one of the first things they teach you is to watch your background. Made the production quality look very cheap and amateurish!!

I don't really like the gimmick, the whole idea is great, I hope that Tobias can design a gimmick that is easier to grip.

I received PING a week ago. Overall I am satisfied with my purchase.
The gimmick is well made and the video offers everything you need to get familiar with it and a lot of ideas on how to use it. If you are new to coin magic and imagine you just grab your gimmick and are ready to perform, think again! There are a few simple things you can perform when you get used to the gimmick but most of the ideas taught require basic knowledge of coin magic. I wanted to mention this because I am in this situation. My only problem with PING is the grip! I find it to be very unstable. Sometimes it just shoots out of my hand. If my hands are a little sweaty you can forget about it! I can only hope that with practice and as the muscle memory in those fingers develops, I'll be able to carry this around without worrying about it dropping/shooting/sliding out of my hand. Congratulation to Tobias for a very cool idea and a well made product! It is gonna take some work but I'm sure it will be well worth it. -Matt

I have been practicing with this for a while and I've broken it numerous times. I've gone through my bands and need extra. Does anyone know where I can purchase extra bands?
Thanks |

I would message E's customer service. I'm sure they could help you. Otherwise you can look in craft and hobby stores for the type they use. I'd check Amazon too.
I'm surprised you managed to break it though, how much or how long did you use it before it broke? I don't use mine very regularly. But I have had mine basically since it was released and practice/perform occasionally. Thing is still holding strong for me. |

Would it be possible to use ping with a routine like coins across where you generate the sound then immediately show your hand empty?

I purchased mine to go with the CtC project.
I also found it a little difficult to grip with my short stubby fingers and like someone mentioned it flew out of grip a few times. I didn’t manage to get a ping it sounded more of a thud as it didn’t hit correctly . I do accept this could me or poor adjustment. I did notice a couple of holes on the arms maybe this is the adjustment. Problem for me is that within the hour Id broken the only vulnerable part and although fixable and replacements do come with it. I found it frustrating. With an aching thumb, raised blood pressure and fading light I boxed it all up to wait until the morning before I attempt a repair. I do think that there is a certain amount of luck that it was adjusted correctly for those who had it working first time out of the box. The good points are the DVD I found had good ideas within it and the main product is repairable at minimum cost. Big question as to am I glad I bought it ? The honest answer is that the Jury’s is still as I haven’t given up yet. I will wait until I get the first ping |

There is something that hasn't been answered : is it possible to use this gimmick in the context of a coin(s) routine ?
Coins across, or 3-fly, or whatever. I don't understand how one could manipulate coins AND manage the gimmick at the same time ? Thank you, |

I really love the idea, as I often flick coins anyway. But with the sizing comments and repair issues, I am a bit hesitant. I typically wear between a medium and large glove. Any thoughts on how the gimmick will fit me? Is it easier to break because your hand size is smaller thus putting more pressure on something more than it should?

Hi. Any word on the best band for this and where to obtain? Mine broke in literally 3 minutes (full well knowing to be careful with it from all the reviews), and the tiny strand (?) that came with it fell out and vanished into nothingness. There has to be a better way. At the very least give us a few inches, if not a foot, of band. That would have been useful. Why such a teeny, tiny piece? It can’t cost that much. Mine fluttered away with the wind and I never got to hear a single ping. Even if they didn’t cheat you on the skimpy shred of band, my hands could never repair that. Great idea. Buyer beware. Disappointing. Literally 3 minutes!
