I love the concept and so I purchased Kill Bill. I've made up three gimmick sets but I really don’t want to practice with those - so I plan to make up number of dummy gimmicks tomorrow.

One question for those performing this: Anyone else notice that it ain't easy to tear this thing in half?! I've been tearing cards just to see and all have been Tally Ho cards. Maybe they're thicker than Bikes? I'll work with Bikes tomorrow and hopefully those are easier.

Jim

OK, my problem with tearing the folded cards seems to have been related to using Tally Ho cards. I made up some gimmicks using regular Bicycle cards and tearing them is a breeze! Don’t know exactly what the difference is between Tally Ho cards and Bikes, but by all means - use Bicycle cards for Kill Bill.

Thanks!

Do you have to ruin a bill every performance ? If you just want to make it up for a one time performance can you use the same bill ? Or do you loose a bll every performance ?
Thanks,
Jeffrey

Just FYI Jeffrey, I am using five bill gimmicks. You can work with only one and keep moving it each time, but if you're performing this a number of times in a row it is definitely to your advantage to use more bills and cards. So it cost me five bucks - I can handle that and I would think that most can.

The item that Harlan recommends is very strong. I've found that when reusing the bill, the item will most naturally stay with the bill not the card. I found that it's best to leave it on the bill and reuse the bill as is. You know what I am talking about if you have this. Any questions, you can PM me.

I live in the UK where at the moment the smallest paper bill is the £10 note as paper £5 notes have been replaced by plastic notes.
Does a bank note have to be destroyed to make a gimmick for this effect as next year the UK £10 note is also going to be replaced by a plastic note and this effect could become rather expensive having to destroy a £20 note to make up a gimmick?

Yes, you use a bill to make the gimmick but it could be plastic (haven't tried it yet, depends how it handles when folded) then the trick could involve patter about the unique healing features of the plastic bill.

Here is a link to amazon for the tape Dan uses, https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_......ded+tape You want the stuff that says Replacement Tape For Window Kits. Beware, takes a little to get the backing off once you stick one side. Know from experience since I use this as window insulation every winter. I will give this a try, if it goes over well with my skeptics then might make up a few and use it in my table hopping.

Thanks for that link. Although I think just about any "window tape" will work, here's the one I always use:
https://www.lowes.com/pd/Frost-King-0-5-......bf698def
probably since Lowe's is right around the corner from my house!
For anyone new to this type of tape, make sure you don't get foam-insulating tape. You want the thin, clear stuff. And, I've found the Frost King backing paper peels off pretty easily.

Yes, the Frost-King backing does peel off easily and is quite strong.
