Has anyone had issues with orders not being shipped when they were promised?
I have recently had 2 orders delayed in shipping with no notice of the delay. |

David keeps pretty busy and may have had a problem getting to the PO. He's a regular on Facebook so do a search for him and ask him what's up. PS: Harry Allen will be in Louisville Tuesday Dec. 6, PM me of you want to come and see his lecture. Thanks, Jim

This has happened twice in the last 2 weeks. Tonite, I messaged him for the tracking number of the last order. He basically blew me off saying "Maybe tomorrow...its been a long day". I'm not a big Harry Allen fan, but I appreciate the heads up. |

I'm in the middle of placing an order with David. There was a day last week that I sent an email, but he didn't reply within 24 hours. So, I called and left a message. He called me back and left a message saying that we'd have to connect later, because he had been busy with shows that day, and tired. But eventually we did talk on the phone within a few days, and I arranged my order with him.
I also had another magic dealer who I recently ordered from, who wasn't able to send me my order promptly because his supplier didn't mail to him after the U.S. Thanksgiving weekend. His supplier delayed by a week, and so it snowballed. Because it's the time between the end of November and Christmas, I expect magic dealers who are also performers to be busy with increased shows and also busy with increased orders. I've decided that anything I order during that time, is not something I expect to put in my Christmas 2016 shows (although I do hope that it arrives by Christmas Day, as a present to myself, if I order early enough). I know that October, November, and December is a busy time for me with shows. - Donald

I have been a customer for a number of years, but am disappointed. An email or text of the delay would have been nice, since the last order is an item I wanted to use in a show this Wednesday night. I appreciate your insight. |

Yes, I know performer/dealers are busy, but I've always felt that's no excuse. I've said before, if you're offering product and you're a performer, your buyers are just as important as the clients you perform for. If you can't handle it, bring on someone who can handle your product sales, or stop selling. I too have inquired a couple of times in the last couple of months by email to David and have had no response. Nice guy, but....
Ordered a popular item from a well-known magician/stand up comedian a few months ago, no word back. Emailed twice, no word. Had Paypal contact him, no word. Finally had to get my money back. |

I do understand everyone's frustration on this topic, but we all have to remember that even though this world has become "instant" through the internet, not everybody has a giant staff to reply to emails.
I believe that a 24 hour period is fair to expect a reply. Everyone has a cell phone and can check messages daily. Dealers are struggling out there guys, and we need to have a little compassion. Not a lot, just a little. What would we all do if nobody sold magic anymore... yikes!

Ive never had an issue with David, he always reply and send out my packages. He has to be very busy.
