Hello everyone,
In Scarne on Card Tricks I found a trick nammed "THE MAGIC NUMBER TRICK" (#52). The same trick is in Rufus Steele's "Card Tricks That Are Easy To Learn" under the name "FIGURE CAN'T LIE". The mathematical principle of the trick is very interesting. Steele Steele mentions this principle under the name of "9 system" (?). I would like to know if the sources of the principle are known. (I asked some mathematician friends to demonstrate me the principle but they did not know how to do it. Can anyone here?) (sorry for my english) Thanks all Minus |

I'm not sure your friend is a mathematician as the principle is really obvious ;-)

Ho really thanks jmbulg. Effectively the demonstration is very simple ! (I could have done it myself...).
