Howard the Duck - failed, rightfully so. (As much as I personally enjoy it) Doesn't count. Last Action Hero - failed, still considered a failure, but I enjoyed it and feel it should have done better. That's the main criterion, did it fail and are you in the minority that feels it should have done better.

Then the list is very subjective.
My suggestion of "Still Crazy" would work by your standard. It didn't do too well in the States but since it talked to me I thought it should have done better. What works for you may not work for me, as I didn't enjoy the "Last Action Hero" and considered it a dud. Or vice versa...

I'm certain there's someone out there who feel "Howard the Duck" or the first American "Godzilla" movie should have done better.

Why?
If there is a single truth about Magic, it is that nothing on earth so efficiently evades it.

I don't know why. I didn't like "Godzilla" and consider "Howard" a major guilty-pleasure. But I'm certain there's people who feel they got robbed.
This guy seems to feel the list can be less subjective. https://www.thrillist.com/entertainment/......tainment Warning; I haven't read this list yet. I just saw it and thought, "Yeah, that's pretty much where I'm trying to go."

I loved Still Crazy. Great soundtrack. Bill Nighy was hilarious and he can sing too!
Two movies I thought should have worked were The Phantom and The Shadow |
