Christmas time is a sad time for many people so, although not an official Christmas poem, this is a happy poem that I wanted to share with my friends on the Magic Café. I hope it cheers many of you up.

Reflections on Life and Death from the Funeral Perspective

Death is easy, but life is hard!
That’s what is written on my funeral service card.
We make our whole life miserable worrying through it,
When it’s easy as pie and anyone can do it.

We fear the pain and suffering of Death,
Will we be brave, like all of the rest?
Both young and old die without a peep,
Most just fall over dead or die in their sleep.

So don’t let thoughts of death,
Steal time from your life.
Enjoy what is left,
With your husband or wife.

Hug the kids and pet the dog,
In a hundred years you’ll just be a log.
Be brave and laugh Death right in the face,
But remember Death has the last laugh in this place.
