The Elastic Aptitude Test (EAT) has been designed to measure the distance your imagination can stretch. Unlike traditional aptitude tests, which reward a humdrum command of facts, EAT rewards Flexible Agile Thinking (FAT). Now then, how flexible is your mind?

Part II: Latin
Though it's no longer a requirement in most schools, Latin is far from being a dead language. Match each Latin phrase (denoted by a number) with its English translation (denoted by a letter).

1. bona fide

2. rara avis

3. sic transit

4. vice versa

5. id est

6. alter ego

7. vide supra

a. A good rental car is hard to find

b. See the janitor

c. Fruedian self-actualization (see alter ego)

d. ambulance

e. Change your psyche (see id est)

f. good dog

g. dirty poem
