Not sure if you're referring to me, Thomas--I was merely answering the question in the original post, and addressing some concerns people had voiced along the way about covers. I still stand by my answer: a Penguin classic edition or something like that would be my choice, and I gave two titles above that should fit the requirements asked about in the OP.
Genuine books aren't suspicious until someone does an amazing book test with them. The the audience inevitably wants to examine the book, etc. If audience members don't, then they probably aren't very smart or you haven't done a very impressive book test! I currently only do book tests with completely normal books, and I still get questions about them, so I purposefully don't use an unusual title that no one has ever seen. |

Woops, I left a line in my previous post about "easy to duplicate with font"--I see why you were thinking I meant a gaffed book. That was a mistype from when I had misunderstood your post, and I thought I had edited it out!
Anyway, I still like to choose an innocent looking, well known title. The Nostradamus text and anything by Arthur Conan Doyle have a lot of applications for me. |

However, my thoughts regarding the covers were my answer to you original question. I never meant that you should be creating a book, I meant that whatever new book is used, it would be preferable to use a cover which is recognisable - Fifty Shades of Grey being an example. I think titles I would gravitate towards would be Mary Shelley's Frankenstein, Bram Stoker's Dracula and so on.

I have a fondness for haiku. Rich in imagery, yet so brief, they are a delight, added to the fact that in some books there is only one haiku per page.

I would also like something by Lovecraft or Poe. (Though there are versions of thes out there, but not as clean.)
'Dracula' and 'Frankenstein' would also would be great. (Ditto) Some others - 'Lord of the Rings', 'Wuthering Heights', 'Last and First Men' (Olaf Stapleden), 'The Bloody Chamber' (Carter), 'The Republic' (Plato) a collection of M.R. James ghost stories (but Prof B.C. has this covered really), 'Do Andriods Dream of Electric Sheep', The Remains of the Day' (Ishiguro), ''Salem's Lot' (King). Given my past experience with Paralabs products, I have immense confidence in them (and a good deal of excitement about whatever this turns out to be!). Best, Francis

Oh, a nice collection of Fairy Tales by the Brothers Grimm, or even the one by Perrault would be pretty groovy too.
