They hit almost all of the high points in this 100 best comedies list:
https://timeout.com/london/film/100-best-comedy-movies but I definitely don't agree with the order. Taste in comedy is so individual. My top 10, in no particular order: Airplane! The Naked Gun Bananas Annie Hall Modern Times The Great Dictator Dirty Rotten Scoundrels Steamboat Bill, Jr. Rat Race Napoleon Dynamite My criteria is what makes me laugh the most, not what makes me leave the theater the happiest. YMMV.

I like most of the top 10, but A Fish Called Wanda is far and away the comedy that brought (and brings) me the most mirth.

For those old enough to remember....
It's a mad mad mad mad world. Classic and hysterical.

Actually had to struggle through that one. I know it's a classic, it just wasn't for me.

Mr Bean makes me laugh. The first one I watched was when coming back home from Spain on an airplane with headphones on. While I was laughing my head off nobody else was watching or listening to it. I was trying not to laugh but it was killing me.
If there is a single truth about Magic, it is that nothing on earth so efficiently evades it.

I've got to,say, if I could pick only one "set of ten" it would be 91-100. Honorable mention to 11-20.

It's not surprising that English-speaking audiences prefer English-language film. Usually, though, "best of" lists contain at least a token number of non-English works. There are none here. Is it because comedy is hard to translate?
What non-English comedies do you like? (I'm drawing a blank at the moment.)
