IMDB describes it as...
A silly Japanese game show on which contestants are painfully eliminated through barely possible stunts and events, most taking place above pools of mud. ... though they do add comedy in the (broad) category description. I never watched it so not so sure... can we get a 3rd part confirmation?
We shall meet in the place where there is no darkness...

I don't think anyone mentioned "The Gods Must Be Crazy."

Many good ones already mentioned. I'll add I'm Gonna Get You Sucka. The scene where Hammer slips on the bullet is breathtaking. I literally had a hard time catching my breath the first time I saw it, I was laughing so hard.

I want to add "What's Up, Doc?" from 1972 to the list. One of my all time favorite american comedies. Some 35 years ago, I even sat down to transcribe the script from videotape, just to find out the secret of how to construct and write an absolutely hilarious comedy classic like this one.

Going by Landmark's original criteria, there's got to be a spot for Bad Santa.

"Ghostbusters," of course. The first one, I haven't seen the remake to judge.
One I don't think got enough recognition? "Dragnet." Ackroyd's spot on impression of Jack Webb, not to mention putting someone with Webb's button-down 50's attitude into a contemporary setting was golden. The use of a "Bond-style" evil organization like PAGAN might have been going too far, but I liked the movie as a whole.

"The Ruling Class" A tragedy with comedic overtones.
One of the last living 10-in-one performers. I wanted to be in show business the worst way, and that was it.
