I saw them all at Blackpool and the Gold was tacky and would get scratched just by looking at it . Trust me I have seen and played with these both for a long time . Anyway it's a great effect just put gold ribbon on it if you must . The more you make a thing of the box the more you raise suspicion imho Tarik 😊

Tarik, I 'm pretty sure he said that sarcastically and in jest, which is why I agreed with him.
BTW: I also agree with you on the color choice. I went for the black just incase I need to touch it up with a sharpie down the road |

I have both the black and gold versions.
I'm saving the gold version because I think it looks a little classier. But, both colors are good! This is such a great trick! Robert |

Does anybody received a defective deck of cards? Mine does not add to the set up . I separated the whole deck and it does not have what it suppose to. Boy now I am really dissapointed.
Why will they send something like this? This is not cool. |

I had shared one of my thoughts with a few of my friends on the Café. I feel this should also be shared here as well. Here are my thoughts, and may I please quote:-

It is quite feasible and practical to increase the number of outs from the standard 4 to 6 or to even 8 by using a hexagonal box (for 6 outs) and an Octagonal box (for 8 outs). Such boxes also look very nice aesthetically. Though such a box will be slightly bigger in size but they also look like a beautiful GIFT box. And of course one has the advantage of multiple outs. Just my thoughts please.

Sorry for my post above. I was wrong . Deck is not defective. I am the one that is defective. Angelo was kind to pm me and guide me thru. . Thanks Angelo .
By the way I found a way to increase the strength . Replace the white stuff with double side tape This is an awesome tool |

Way to own it Joaquin. I can't wait to get mine in. I made a note of your suggestion of double-sided tape for when it arrives.
Thank you |

It would certainly complicate the handling although I'm sure that could be dealt with if given enough practice. It may also make the secret parts easier to discern and no doubt it would GREATLY increase the price as well, and it's already not an inexpensive prop. But assuming all those things could be overcome, I think you would find the box would end up being much more than "slightly bigger" and the load size to container size would get too far out of proportion IMO, not to mention a myriad of other things that a much larger box would present in general. |

100% agree videoman. A box with more than four sides will result in smaller prediction papers.

Sorry if I came across a bit harsh on the gold version of the gift . I personally preferred the black purely my own choice as I don't want to over emphasis it until I close my set . I also like the idea of touching it in as necessary with a sharpie . So I would like to take back my comments about it being tacky as both boxes are equally fantastically made and the mechanics are pure genious . I think I just got out of the wrong side of the bed ( again ) yesterday . Good magic to all Tarik 😊

One of the best purchases of the past few years. The possibilities are endless. The black box looks so innocent. I use a bow wrapped around the box, which adds to the impossibility and eliminates the possibility that you somehow secretly slipped the paper into the box right in front of their eyes (it's funny how spectators give us more credit than we deserve sometimes).

Hi Tarik:
You are correct - the bow is tied tightly around the box from the beginning, and the deck of cards is never in the box. It's a beautiful presentation. I never liked the idea of opening the box before the big finish - sort of anti-climatic in my view. I love to keep them guessing until the very end - "What's in the box?" |

I agree with your point about not opening the box until the finish.
However, one aspect of this kind of bothers me and that is that the spectators "gift" at the end turns out to be a small folded piece of paper of which you could fit half a dozen in a matchbox yet alone a box of this size. So even though I like the idea of a ribbon and not opening the box until the end, I also like removing one or two objects (which pretty much fill the box) from the box first and explaining that their gift will remain a secret for now. This helps justify the size of the box and also gives them an idea that their gift must be pretty small. Not saying that is a better way as I am still truly undecided. I have yet to experiment with seeing if the box could operate properly with some other small object inside of it. But I'm thinking that then you could actually have a small trinket gift for them along with the prediction. If the gift could even tie in with the prediction then that would be even better. But I haven't gotten that far along yet. |
