Oh no, it's fine. I misunderstood the point of the thread. I didn't really look at who was making the post and I can totally see how my post would be seen as extermely condescending and lecture-y when he obviously knows what he's doing. If I had phrased my point better it wouldn't have been an issue. I don't want to derail this thread though.
David Stone has a 3 coin production for parlor using a wineglass and ending with a wine bottle production finale. I've always really liked the aesthetic of using a wineglass on stage with coins as the sound makes the coins seem bigger and more real as well as giving the feeling of isolating the coins. With a lot of miser's dream routines when the coins disappear into the bucket the spectators feel like they don't have control over the coins in the bucket but the magician does so maybe somehow he is just reproducing the same coins or something. It doesn't matter if it's right, the feeling of the spectator is that there is something about the bucket that isn't as it seems. Of course each way has it's own pros and cons. |
