Can anyone who has this effect provide a comprehensive review?
I've searched the system, but can't seem to find anything. |

If you're looking for posts regarding the stage illusion, the Café has several through the search mode. While there might not be one specifically on a review, several offer info, patter and handling on the effect.
Since many of us are "creative" when it comes to spelling, I admit that I look up several words, this being one of them. If you use the spelling METAMORPHOSIS, you'll find a number of helpful Café posts. |

Thanks, but it's actually a card effect I'm looking for. Here's the marketing blurb:
Mickael Chatelain's Metamorphose will blow you away! A spectator selects a card from the pack and, taking care that no one sees the face, places it face-down on the table. You take a random card from the pack and, with a felt tip, draw a small sketch on the back of the card. The moment of truth has come. The spectator turns over their selected card, it's the two of diamonds. You shows your drawing to the audience. It's completely wrong! Not to worry. Hold the card with your drawing on the back by one corner, give it a flick with your other hand and visually, the drawn sketch morphs into the spectator's selection! Comes with the very special, hand-made gimmick on Bicycle stock and photo-illustrated instructions. (30.907) $19.95 |

My mistake. For this effect, you had the spelling right! I found the sites that offered the effect, but, as you already found out, none had any reviews submitted yet.
Sorry I can't help you on this one. Possibly another member is familiar with this effect. |

Hi Lagrange,
I have Metamorphose and I recommend it to you. IMHO it's a nice effect and it works exactly as the description says. Very visual, fast and easy to perform. Best regards. |

Thanks, Joseph.
Any angle problems? Examinable at what stages? Anyone else have any experience with this? |

Hi,
No angle problems. The gimmick is very well done. At the end, it's easy to make a switch and give it for complete examination and regale it to your audience, if you want. Best regards. |

I bought this effect a few days ago. It is SUPERB. You can perform it inches from the spec´s face. The transformation of the drawing occurs in a fraction of a second. A flick of the fingers on the card and...boom, it´s the spec´s "selection".
I did this for my wife last night, who already knows some of my secrets, and left her stunned. That alone made it all worth it for me. I recommend this highly. Chapeau to Chatelain!

Great visual effect. Has no angle problems but is not examinable..but as stated before...you can make a dupe for it and do a switch.

Great to see this thread resurrected and Mickael´s effect finally out on the global market.
Let me suggest a subtlety: When "drawing" the card, use a dried out Sharpie or other marker. This will allow you to actually go through the motions of drawing, placing the tip on the card, instead of pretending. I find it more convincing. Indeed, not examinable but do the switch, hand them the card and watch jaws drop. Enjoy this great effect. José.

To make the transformation more visual, try coloring the heart at the end of the "flick." A simple matter of a top change, and you are an instant god. That's been my experience, and I recommend it highly!
