I have a local buddy that is working on a book, and he's asked for help in researching some of his material. Here are a few of the remaining questions. If you know any of the answers, we'd appreciate your response.
1) There was an effect written up (most likely in Genii) within the past ten years which was presented as a Flash Restoration, with the further idea mentioned that it could be used as a visual transformation from one bill into two smaller denomination bills. The fellow may have been Japanese. Does this ring a bell? 2) This effect was likely from Apocolypse, although we had no luck finding it in the bound compilations as of yet. The spectator reaches into an imaginary paper bag and removes an imaginary box. The spectator tells you the color of bow, etc. Meanwhile, you've had a business card on the table, and of course, the multiple prediction is perfect. 3) Anybody have an idea how old the Pea Can is, and if it has a "known creator" ? 4) The Perfect Time watch prediction by Collector's Workshop - they claim to be the original. Is this the case, or does it have a history prior to Collector's? 5) Is there a known inventor of the deck vanish gimmick (using the outer sleeve/shell) ? 6) Is Clarence Miller the inventor of the Impossible Penetration/Wooden Finger Guillotine, with the solid wood blade? Viking calls it "The Clarence Miller/Viking Finger Chopper," hence my question. My own research points to the Delbin Wrist Chopper as an origin, but I'm looking for more details. Thanks in advance for any leads you may have. --- Guy |
