When I read through Don Driver's life, however, I get such a feeling of 'completeness'(!). This guy was in love with what he was doing, ..from day one. He loved the Pitch, the Streets, ..the folks who worked them. His comments and ideas, will be missed here, on the Sidewalk. gallagher |

I will greatly miss Don Driver. Over the past year he has been a huge help to me. I contacted him by email asking him for some information... not only did he freely give me what I asked for, he gave me so much more over the past year in the way of advice, information, connections here in Vegas and friendship.
We talked on the phone nearly every week, sharing stories, having some laughs but mostly me listening and learning from a master Pitchman, excellent magician (although he would never admit to that), showman, and master of human behavior. He would never accept a penny for any of the products he sent me or advice he gave me... his answer was always, "you help out someone else who asks for it and that will be my payment." He freely shared everything he had and held nothing back. I have met few people in my life that was as forthcoming as Don. I believe he enjoyed our conversations, calling and emailing me if I went too long without chatting. I hope I was able in some small way to enhance the last year of his life. I regret not talking to him more. I miss Don Driver and will continue to try to help others in some small way to honor all he did for me. |

He was my best friend and my mentor. I am so proud to say I was a student of Don Driver's. He was a genius, the most kind hearted man I ever met. All he wanted was to make sure young kind loved magic as much as he did. Gosh I miss him oh so much, it still brings me to tears.
