Gotta be some reason for that "example" deck, no?

This is very good! I can't say much more because I bought it, but Paperinick is on the right track. No mem deck though.
It seems impossible even to magicians when you see it, but once you know the secret it's pretty obvious. I recommend this highly. I think a lot of people will use it. And, I will say one thing... you don't have to get a p**k although that makes it even more of a fooler. Robert |

I agree with Robert. While I guessed most of the method before purchasing, Dani's touches really make this extra fooling and highly entertaining. I will be using this. And fans of Osterlind's BCS will devour this like candy

The " example" deck is really to show spectator how to correctly handle the cards.
Presentation makes the effect powerful. |

But the spec cant see the example deck, as Dani is facing away from the participating spec, other specs can see him, but they don't need to.

Catweazel,
Dani holds the deck out to the side enough that the guy behind him can see what he's doing with the example deck Certainly could be done without the example deck, if you think the spec will handle the deck correctly. But also when Dani hands off the example deck..there's a reason for that. |

Recoplon,
Moderately easy. No sleights, but a purposeful presentation. |

It SEEMS easy... however, there is a lot that can go wrong also.
As HTC said in the above post: study your presentation and patter before you perform this. |

Everything requires skill. I have some of DaOrtiz stuff. While it seems self working he's been around. Wonderful performer and personality and mind.

Why is the bulk of this whole thread speculation about method? Sheesh...
In my opinion, this shows a disturbing lack of respect for Mr. DaOrtiz.

FORUM RULES & GUIDELINES:
Curious about an upcoming product? This is the forum to post your thoughts. THIS FORUM IS NOT FOR REVIEWS. Reviews imply that you actually own and have used the trick, read the book or watched the DVD. Such posts should be made in the appropriate forum located in our The Good, the Bad, and the Garbage category. This forum is all about hype and speculation - nothing more, nothing less. SPECULATION -VS- EXPOSURE: It is , after all, only natural to speculate the possible method to a new trick or effect. Comments as to possibilities of a method are just that - Possibilities. One person may say; "I think it might use a piece of velcro" while another may comment; "No, it probably uses a magnet". Either scenario is okay. However, If someone knows for a fact what the method is and posts it, then we have exposure and the post will be deleted with NO EXPLANATION given. |

Well if I had a vote (and I know I don't), I would not condone public speculation of methods on a public subforum. I'm used to being in the minority.

We've been ALL in the same situation - buying an over-hyped effect only to find out it was an old method or something that was not really worth purchasing... Having a video performance is certainly much more better than a printed description, but we still all know how much "editing" can do to a performance. Sometimes only "possible" scenarios are shown and not the real results, etc. etc.
