WOW, I've never been a huge fan of card thru window, usually due to the method, but this looks REALLY good.

Yes, there is a big difference.

I do like Rift, as it looks like a cleaner "Kaos", though I don't believe cards can be signed for either of Cody's effects they are a thing of beauty, which is why my order is in for Rift. My hotel gig at the end of the month has big windows so this may have it's place for me after the show is over.

Blindside, thank you. I've been telling people all day though that the only similarity between Kaos and this is the spread. It can't be signed, but that's the trade off. Think about from a laymen's mindset. You let them pick the card, you hand them the deck and they shuffle it in. You never see the card. Then you are able to pull it through with your mouth. One, you pulled it through the glass. Two, you knew what card it was. I don't think a signature would really add that much to it at that point.
Both Rift and Unbroken are perfect for gigs. The difference is, is that Rift is ready to perform at all times on any window at a moments notice. If you don't perform Rift during the gig, you can easily perform it after for some people. |

Hi Cody,
Rift looks great and I think too that a signature might not be needed. However, if I would like to do it with a signed card under these conditions, would it be possible ? - It would take me 15 seconds to go to the other side of the glass - I wouldn't risk to be seen by anyone while going there Would I have time to set up the gimmick on the spot with the stolen signed card? |

3-6 seconds of not being seen, then yes. It could be signed. Once it is setup, the gimmick will take care of everything else for you when you are ready.

Hi Cody.
No card palmed. What if the spectator start searching the deck after the penetration. Ricky |

I went over that in the download. If they're that skeptical, let them look

I've always looked for the holy grail, with regard to card through window, like probably many others. And I was never satisfied by any of the methods and effects I've seen, mainly due to the set-up involved. So, even if Rift is indeed a little less clean than Unbroken, I'm much more interested by this one than by Unbroken.
I was just wondering, as no one asked it yet. What about the angles ? Any kind of restriction ? Where the audience must stay, specifically ? Thanks. |

I believe they must stay on the right side of the card spread

Yes. Nobody behind you but once the gimmick is engaged, the closer you are to the window, the better the angles.

I've been notified by four people that they have received Rift today. All of them love it so far. The one question I keep getting though is about the pre-made "loop" at the top.
I'm not sure why that was put there. But if you've received Rift and have this question, the answe is to cut it off. It isn't needed |

I received this today. The gimmick is an ingeninously designed gimmick made of metal which should last a lifetime. You do have to prepare the ready made gimmick to your specific height. The only minor clothing consideration is that you should wear an undershirt and a regular collar shirt, either short or long sleves. A jacket is not required. You do need to obtain one extra item to prepare the gimmick. Once prepared you do not need to do anything else as long as you have it.
The online instructions is about 50 minutes long and is very comprehensive with the main handling and an alternate handling. They are both very easy to do. Cody explains everything in a relaxed and knowledgable fashion. I just finsihed wathcing the instructions, but I have to order what is needed to customize the gimmick. It would have been nice if it was included, but it only costs a few dollars to obtain. Rift is a very interesting, unique and practical approach to a card thru window effect. You do need some basic spectator management. You can walk around with the gimmick ready to go and do this effect anywhere there is a window. Recommended. Michael

Looks awesome and very tempted. All discussion has been related to the gimmick. My question is about the card selection - I am assuming that, as the card cannot be signed, there a force. So can the card that is "pulled through" be changed or is it fixed with the gimmick?

Any card can be used. Any deck can be used. You can change the selection very easily.
