I have reviewed Rubicon and Perfect Square so far. Rubik's Dream is waiting me at home, I'll be able to take a look at it at the end of August ! Smile

There are very different and they don't achieve the same goal although some effects possible are similar (as with the majority of cube tricks : matching and resolution).

Rubik's dream is more versatile and allows more things to be done (effect with mini cube, change, ...)

However Perfect Square and Rubicon are quite similar. The basic routine is exactly the same : 1 cube mix by the spec, the other by the magician. Both cubes match. One is put aside and the other is magically resolved.

Perfect square offers an other routine with the mosaic which is also very good.

I have perfect square and rubik's dream and both are awesome products.

The cubes we supplied in RD should be standard 57mm.

Rubik’s Dream – Henry Harrius

Product description : Rubik’s Cube magic is a trend, during the last years : Cube 3, Cube Fx, The Cube, Rubicon, Perfect Square, Rubik’s Nightmare etc.. But something was missing, a good quality shell. Some have tried it but with very few success. Henry has revolutionized this principle and provide us today with the best quality shell available on the market ! But Rubik’s Dream is much more than that, you’re provided with 2 shells and 3 cubes, which is an incredible deal for the price asked. But let’s see if it lives up to the hype 

Price and where to buy it : This is sold at $155 and you can find it on Vanishing Inc website : https://www.vanishingincmagic.com/magic/......s-dream/

What you get : You get a really nice cardboard box, with the logo embossed on it, with silver foil. I know the packaging is not what you pay for, and that you won’t be using it but it’s always nice to see creators that take time to do a very nice box, so it looks like a present when you receive it. Inside, you’ll find 2 regular 57 mm speedcubes, they’re very well made and they turn like a dream. You also get the shell to fit both cubes, the shell is the best I’ve ever seen, it’s seen, fits like a glove and it looks like a real Rubik’s Cube ! I’m impressed by the quality on this, I didn’t think it was possible to make such a well-made shell. You also get a small Rubik’s Cube, as well as a shell to fit on it. Again, the quality is outstanding, even the dirty face looks clean ! That’s all for the material provided, but you’re also getting a 45 minutes explanation video. It’s very well shot and Henry is a great teacher, he teaches several routines possible with the set as well as his recurring nightmare solve which is my go to solve now ! The whole thing feels quality, you can’t go wrong with it, trust me !

Teaser : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M9_0UAuWSNM

The pros and the cons : Here is the core of my review, let's begin with the cons, as I will usually be doing, I prefer to keep the good things for the end.

THE CONS :
– Many effects require a paper bag or something to hide one of the cube at some point in the routine. It’s not the case with the matching routine with the mini rubik’s cube but still, you wouldn’t be able to fit the shell over a big cube with covering it.
– It’s a little bit expensive, but when you see the quality of the shells, you won’t be disappointed !

THE PROS :
– I’ve said it a few times during this review but let me say it again : this is the first time I’ve been that amazed for a magic product. The shells are thin, durable and fits perfectly ! And the size discrepancy between the shell and the cube is minimal, meaning you can do matching routine with both.
– The package is more than complete, you’re provided with everything you need, and I mean everything. 2 regular cubes, so you can come up with your own routine, a big and small shell and a mini rubik’s cube. Even the mini Rubik’s Cube is well made, and turns quite well.
– Henry shares with us the routine he did on his FISM act and I think this kind of information is even better than the material provided ^^ The recurring nightmare solve is the best I’ve seen and easy to do.. It gives a new dimension to my cube routine.
– This kind of package will spark your creativity, it’s sure you will come up with your own routines. And maybe not only cube magic but also things like cube to candy or similar things ! The Facebook group created just for Rubik’s Dream is amazing because many ideas are shared, ideas that I would have never thought of !
– At the end of the explanation video, there is something called “The Block Solve” by Vincent Kuo, it’s an amazing solve, it feels so magical and, while it’s not as easy as the recurring nightmare, is well worth studying.

Overall rating : I’ve seen most of the Rubik’s Cube effect out there and I think Rubik’s dream is one of the most complete and finest one ! I can’t see anyone being disappointed with it, I’m gonna use the mini shell, I love it ! 4/4 hearts.

As for the difficulty level, the solves are not difficult if you use the stack Henry uses but they need a bit of work, I would say 2/5 stars.

Similar products : Perfect Square, Rubik’s Nightmare, Rubicon, Cube Fx and The Cube are good releases, but Rubik’s Dream is one of the most complete !

Both are amazing ! I think Perfect Square is perfect (pun intended) for the 2 regular cubes match, without any cover or paper bag. PS is also on point when it comes to the mosaic effect, which is really unique.

Rubik's Dream is more versatile, it will allow you to do different effects, some will need a paper bag or not (you can do a match effect with a mini cube and a regular one).

At the end of the day, it really depends on what do you want to perform Smile

There is a similar move like with Rubicon when 2 cubes are switched in front of the spectators without bag ?

Thank you

My take on it is that Rubicon and Perfect Square are designed for the switch to be done without cover for the matching effect. Between the two, I prefer Rubicon. However, Perfect Square is a fine lower-cost alternative. In contrast, Rubik's Dream, as you can see from Henry's post above, is incredibly versatile and opens up avenues to a variety of effects, but it was not designed for no-cover switches in front of live audiences. If I could only choose one, though, it'd definitely be Rubik's Dream.
