How is the book and what are the effects like in that book ?

This is a great book. It gives you a good bit of knowledge on many topics. Cards, coins, billiard balls and more.
I think it is a good beginner to intermediate book. The effects are solid and you really can go far with the ones in there. |

One of the best general introductions to magic going. Very good. I recommend.
The only downside, from my perspective, is that you are solely after card magic, or card work in particular, then although fair the MWCMC isn't as good as RRTCM, Card College or a few DVDs that could be named. |

Despite the fact it's a bit venerable today I still don't think any other single volume has topped it as a perfect introduction to learning magic. As an overview giving you lots of different genres it's worth working through just to find which you might wish to specialise in. I love mine!
