When I tell a parent the line is closed and they say, "Can't you do one more?"


The other one is when a parent is in line for all of their kids, and says, "I need a batman, a mickey mouse, and a flower." I say, "One balloon per person. Which one do you want?"
Then the parent says, "Well, I have three kids on the merry-go-round, what am I supposed to do with one balloon?"
I don't know. Don't make your problem into my problem.

"Make me two for my kids at home."

Oh man.

That one is right down the middle.

Well, this one just makes me laugh:

A kid finally gets to the front of the line after waiting 20-30 minutes.
Me: So what kind of balloon do you want?
Kid: I don't know. Hmmmmmmmmm........

"I have a latex allergy."

"I gave it to my brother. Make me another one."

Out of the 30+ participants, One lady had a severe aversion to balloons and was a self confessed sufferer of Globophobia. That is not what I wanted to hear...

She is even refusing to have any balloons at her imminent wedding - She'll be using pink and pewter ribbons bunched up as the decorations much to the chagrin of her groom to be

Oh and she hates and loathes clowns as well (Apart from Heath Ledgers portrayal of The Joker)

Just such a complicated character to make. But realistically, I'm with Karen. "Just one more..." when the line is closed. And my favorite addendum to that, "oh, but we were thinking of hiring you for our party." As if I'm going to suddenly say, "oh, well now I'll make you one more!" It's amazing how many people try that.

When a parent brings their child in front of the line and say: "My child has been waiting for a long time!"

Or when a parent says to their kid, "no, he can't make that thing you asked for. Why don't you just get a dog?" And I'm, like...

Parent: How much is a balloon?
Me: <my answer>
Parent: Oh, well I don't have any money with me...

Hmmm... what did you *think* I was going to say?
