Saw this as a download on Penguin. Does anyone have any knowledge of Sam's work for an opinion or brief review.

Sam Wooding and this is System.

Which Bend, a routine where the participant guesses which hand the coin is in the performers hand! Then the spectator holds the coin and places it inside one of their hands, not only does the performer divine which hand but they also start to feel the coin shift and change to the point where it bends.

Illusion, a routine where the participant guesses which hand the coin is in the performers hand! Then the spectator holds the coin and places it inside one of their hands, not only does the performer divine which hand but they also start to feel the coin shift and change to the point where it changes its amount.

Con, a routine where the spectator places a coin on their palm and the performer has that coin predicted and written on their hand.

WHP, a routine where the spectator is showed a prediction, the spectator then thinks of placing a coin in four different positions and the prediction successfully matches.

Psych, a routine where the spectator the spectator imagines placing a coin inside their hand and the performer knows the exact position!

Server, The spectator imagines a coin or a ring inside their hand, the performer then instantly divines what they picked and the performer explains how the spectator had no choice and how their thought of object was predicted from the very start.

Stun, a routine where the participant guesses which hand the coin is in the performers hand! Then the spectator names a number from 1-9 they then hold the coin and place it inside one of their hands, not only does the performer divine which hand but they also start to feel the coin shift and change to the point where it has the thought of number written on both sides of the coin!

Pushed, a routine where the participant thinks of a type of coin, then shuffles in their mind an imaginary coin between their hands. Not only does the performer divine the thought of coin but which hand the coin is in!

Half Lie, a routine where the participant thinks of an object, the performer explains to the spectator if they are thinking of a word with odd letters, they would place the coin inside their right hand and if the word has even letters, they would place the coin inside their left hand, the performer then successfully divines which hand the coin is in.

Red Oak, the spectator names and object and it is shown that it has been predicted from the very start. No switches and no gimmicks, you could carry the actual object or carry a prediction of the object! This can be performed propless and the performer can divine the thought of object.

Think, a new presentation surrounded around the idea of love and how love connects people

Clinky, a version of the which hand routine that’s rather bold.

Old, a routine where the spectator successfully divines the date of a coin.

Heater 2.0, a fun little concept on a gimmick that you probably already own!

Stepping, a routine where the spectator feels a coin move inside their hand to reveal the coins date has changed!

Pound, a backup method to use if you don’t get which hand the coin is in.

Reasoning, a new presentation for the which hand plot that leaves the spectator feeling good and proud.

Vale, the spectator holds a coin, they name a Country. They open up their hand and reveal that the coin they have been holding on the entire time is from the thought of Country!

I have this one and some of Sam's other ebooks. Initially, this is definitely not for everyone, but I found it pretty interesting. There's a grab bag of methods here--some pretty old--some using moves, a couple using gimmicks, some using psychological forces, and one using a complete non-method that will make you groan. I am definitely going to try out and play around with Half Lie and Vale soon. I have never seen these particular subtleties before--and on paper at least--they look like they would work great. What I like about this stuff is that the routines are all pretty quick deals, nothing really involved, a couple of a******* notwithstanding.

Now the bad news. You get a lot of routines in the 59-page PDF, and the layout of each routine is in two parts: the effect and the method. Often the effect is just a line or two, and then the method is a paragraph on the next page. In other words, there is a heckuva lot of ugly white space, which if removed, makes the ebook about 29 full pages. Also, while I had no problem understanding it, occasionally it looks like it was typed and edited in the dark with poor punctuation, randomly capitalized words, and sentence fragments, though this one is better than some of Wooding's other ebooks. (For heaven's sake, get a proofreader: A plural noun doesn't use an apostrophe!)

I read a lot--make that a huge number--of mentalism books, and Wooding's stuff pleasantly surprised and intrigued me. Overall, I liked this one.

Thanks fisanick1, appreciated. Yes, Vale caught my attention too, along with Which Bend and Illusion. If they play well I'll be happy with the asking price

Hey Lovelies!

I am so glad you guys are enjoying System! I apologise for the ugly white space and my newest PDF's like Speaking Minds and a few others don't have the ugly white space, I appreciate the feedback!
